Samannay - the CMSDU Alumni Association has instituted an endowment for the Learning and Information Resources' Unit (LIRU), located at the Centre. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed on June 20, 2023. The Endowment is worth ₹ 1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand) only. The yearly interests on this amount will be spent on buying books for LIRU.
This is the first of its kind initiative by an alumni association at Dibrugarh University. Samannay is the most active alumni association in Dibrugarh University. It is also the first alumni association at Dibrugarh University to be registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
