Centre for Management Studies, Dibrugarh University organized the 2023 edition of Rhapsody on 23 November, 2023. It was the 11th edition of Rhapsody on the topic Building Business through Bytes. The event was organized by the first semester students of MBA(FT) as part of their course, Computer Applications in Management. The resource person for the programme was Mr. Rituraj Phukan, Co-founder and Developer of BrandNav. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony followed by the Dibrugarh University anthem by the students. Mr. Phukan was also feliciated along with three of his other team members who had come for the programme along with him.
Mr. Rituraj Phukan is an entrepreneur from Digboi, Assam who completed his graduation in the year 2020 in Physics from Digboi College. From the very beginning, he was an enthusiastic person and had a soft corner for Tech and Sales. Along with his graduation, he did freelancing in video editing, photo editing, coding, etc. and earned money. After graduating, he went to Pune and started a company along with three others named RAB STACKS LLP in 2020. Then, he started a new startup named as “BrandNav” under the parent company RAB STACKS LLP along with co-founder Bishal Bhattacharjee and Ashutosh Mishra.
Mr. Rituraj Phukan shared valuable insights on the essential elements required to initiate a business. He highlighted several points that he personally incorporated into his life. Among these, he emphasized the significance of capital as a primary necessity. Additionally, he underscored the importance of skills, time, and networking – whether within educational institutions such as schools, colleges, and universities or within professional and personal circles, encompassing friends and family relationships. Furthermore, he introduced the concept of leverage. According to him business is all about providing value.
The programme came to an end with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Himadri Barman, the Course Coordinator of CAM. The event was a great success and it was a great learning experience for each and every participant present there. The session concluded with a lively Q&A session. The event was anchored by Mr. Rishab Saikia and was streamed live on the Centre's Facebook page.
