
Prakriti is an eco club with the punch line 'yes to green' and the vision 'clean and green planet'. The mission and the activities of Prakriti are
- To have a clean campus, clean surrounding and clean earth
- To give awareness to other people regarding clean and green environment
- Plantation programmes
- Conducting various activities with the civic bodies to make the environment clean and green
Prakriti is the only eco-club of Dibrugarh University and has already done some impressive work. These in chronological order are:
- Plantation programme within the university campus during April 2004
- Project Parishkar, a Study of Sewage and Waste Management in the Dibrugarh Municipal Area during May - June 2004
- Awareness campaign on Solid Waste Management under the National Environment Awareness Campaign 2005 – 06 of the Ministry of Environment and Forests during May 2006
- Plantation programme within the university campus on June 5, 2007 as part of the observance of World Environment Day
- Awareness campaign on Solid Waste Management under the National Environment Awareness Campaign 2006 – 07 of the Ministry of Environment and Forests during August 2007
- Awareness campaign on Biodiversity Conservation under the National Environment Awareness Campaign 2007 – 08 of the Ministry of Environment and Forests during June 2008
- Awareness campaign on Climate Change under the National Environment Awareness Campaign 2008 – 09 of the Ministry of Environment and Forests during March - April 2009

Syed Sajid-ul-Islam is the Faculty in-charge of Prakriti. The student co-ordinator for Prakriti is Mr. Durlov Protim Boruah of the BBA 2007 batch.
