The Centre has a Training and Placement (T & P) Cell headed by a Placement Officer. who has regular liaison with various companies for successful placement of candidates through Campus Interviews. The Placement Officer is also responsible for arranging summer training for the students. The post is currently held by Ms. Suman Mahanta, Faculty Member, CMS. She is assisted in her work by Mr. Rohit Kumar Sharma and Syed Sajid-ul-Islam, both faculty members of CMS. There are also Student Placement Co-ordinators. The T&P Cell is a member of North East Professional Institutes Forum (NEPIF)

This year, the 2008 Batch MBA (FT) students were offered Summer Internship at National Innovation Foundation (NIF - GIAN), Indian Oil Corporation (IOC - AOD), Oil India Limited (OIL), ONGC (Assam Asset), Barak Valley Cements, Kotak Mahindra, Titan, JayBee Energy, JayBee Auto, GCMMF (Amul), Big 92.7 FM, etc. A few of them were offered stipends.

The 2007 Batch MBA (FT) students have found employment at organizations like Nestle, IndusInd Bank, Mahindra, Vinay Cements, Star Cement, NRHM, Career Concern College (Guwahati), GATE (Guwahati), India Post, Orchid International (Guwahati), SBI Capital, S V Consultants (Indore), etc. The PGDTM students have also been recruited by major travel and tourism agencies like Jungle Travels, Purvy Discovery, etc.
